I made a physical painting too, inspired by klimt's work Bauerngarten (1907). It remains a work in progress, but I was intersted in the mark making and layering processes the impressionists use when layering marks of paint. the reference photo was taken at Aston Norwood gardens in upperhutt, of a cherry blossom tree and pond garden scene.

MY work has changed due to the theme of mindfulness being introduced. I have started using felt, beads, and embroidery floss as a means of creating texture in the work. this texture is vital to the work, as my plan is to have people be able to touch the work as well as look at it. being able to explore the work both physically and visually is a key means of exploring the process of mindfulness through my work. I have created both wet felt (Sunny) and needle felted works to explore the texture felting can provide.
